The Parisian club has announced the signing of Aurélien Tchouaméni, who is set to make his debut for the French national team next month.
Tchouaméni, who is a versatile midfielder with experience at the World Cup level, will join Real Madrid on a four-year deal that could see him move to the Spanish capital in the summer.
The 25-year-old was born in Algeria and moved to France when he was just eight years old, but his career took off at the age of 17 when he joined Lorient in the French second division.
He made his professional debut for Lorient in 2014 and quickly established himself as one of the best midfielders in France.
In his first season at Lorient, Tchouaméni scored 16 goals in all competitions and helped the side to promotion to the top flight.
In his second season at Lorient, he became a regular starter and helped the side to win the Coupe de la Ligue in 2016-17.
But it wasn't until he signed for Paris Saint-Germain in 2018 that Tchouaméni really started to gain recognition.
After impressing in the Champions League with Paris Saint-Germain in 2019, Tchouaméni was called up to the France U21s squad ahead of Euro 2020.
He played regularly for the under-21s and helped them reach the quarter-finals of the tournament.
But it wasn't until he made his international debut against Belgium in June 2020 that Tchouaméni really got the attention of fans.
He played a key role in the 3-0 victory over the强国，La Liga Frontlineand he has since become a fan favorite for his performances.
With Tchouaméni's arrival at Real Madrid, the Spanish giants are hoping to improve their attacking options and add depth to their squad.
The signing of Tchouaméni comes at a crucial time for Real Madrid, who have struggled to find a consistent striker this season.
They have also struggled to maintain possession and create opportunities for their attacking play, which is why they need a player like Tchouaméni to help them out.
Real Madrid already have a number of experienced players in their squad, including Sergio Ramos, Casemiro and Isco, so there is no reason for them to look elsewhere.
