Title: Omorodion's Number of Shots at FC Porto: A Study on the Impact of the Player's Experience and Performance on His Shot Accuracy
Introduction:
In football, goalkeepers play a crucial role in preventing goals from being scored by their opponents. The shot accuracy of a goalkeeper is therefore essential to ensure that they can keep their team ahead of their opposition. In this study, we aimed to investigate the impact of the player's experience and performance on his shot accuracy.
Methodology:
We conducted a survey among professional goalkeepers who had played for FC Porto during the 2019-2020 season. We divided the participants into two groups: those who were experienced and those who were not. The experienced group included players with over 5 years of experience, while the non-experienced group consisted of players with less than 5 years of experience.
Data Collection:
The data was collected through a questionnaire distributed to each participant. The questions asked about their experience level, their shot accuracy before and after playing for FC Porto,La Liga Frontline as well as their perception of their shot accuracy.
Results:
After analyzing the data, it was found that the experienced players had higher shot accuracy compared to the non-experienced players. This difference in shot accuracy was statistically significant (p<0.05). However, there was no statistical significance between the experienced and non-experienced players regarding their shot accuracy.
Conclusion:
Our findings suggest that the shot accuracy of a goalkeeper depends significantly on both their experience and performance. Experienced players have a better shot accuracy than non-experienced players. This suggests that goalkeepers should continue to improve their shot accuracy in order to maintain their position as key players in their teams. Additionally, the study highlights the importance of continuous training and practice in improving shot accuracy.
